Dolores J. (née Young) Kissel, 81, of Camillus passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, unexpectedly. A lifelong resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Blodgett Vocational High School. She worked as a secretary for many years, including at her church, Solvay Methodist United, all while caring for her children and home. Dolores was an avid bowler for over 50 years, enjoyed card club with the girls, and loved to sing in the church choir and tend to her flower gardens. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist church. Dolores is predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Herbert Wiser, her son David Langlois, her father Clayton R. Young, her brother Ed Young and her sister Diane Schwarzmeier.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years Rev. Jack Kissel, her daughters Kim (Scott) Lanno-Savidge, Kathy Hall-Ramer, Heather (Sam) Beaubien and Fay Langlois, and her beloved grandchildren Morgan, Logan (Vanessa) Hall, Ben Ramer, Max Ramer, Leanna (Andre) Adamo, Jordan Langlois and Connor Langlois. She enjoyed time with her stepchildren Kathy (Marshall) Wade, Kevin (Karen) Kissel and Kris (Jennifer) Kissel and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she shared with Jack. She adored her mother Angela Young, siblings Pam (John) Belfiore, John (Sheree) Young, Mark (Mary Ellen) Young and Wendy Young and cousins who were just like sisters, Joyce Hamm and Joan Lackey as well as many others whose lives she touched.
Calling hours were held on September 2nd from 5 to 8 pm at B.L Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus. Services were September 3rd at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Kissel officiating. Burial was in Belle Isle Cemetery, Camillus.
