Margaret “Peggy” (McCullagh) Paradise, 62, of Marcellus passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, with her husband by her side. Born in Massena to the late Charles and Margaret (Lewis) McCullagh, she graduated from CNS High School and attended Lemoyne for a brief time before attending St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and becoming an RN. Peggy worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Miller Brewing for a short time. She then concentrated on bringing up the children before working at Camillus Dental office for over 20 years. Peggy was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that she touched in her short life; she had a bright smile that lit up the room to go with her gregarious personality. She loved country music and dance along with her second home in Arizona. Her children and grandchildren were her passion.
Peggy is survived by her husband Leonard, children Leonard Jr., (Ginny Barch), Michelle (Don) Weber and Vincent (Rahna Tadros). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Donald and Catie Weber, Madelynne, Kayleigh, Lexi Paradise and an expecting granddaughter in September.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Friends may call on the family from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 7, at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus. Masks are required along with social distancing and load capacity of the facility.
