Anne Armstrong, 93, of Pompey, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. She was born in Syracuse, one of five daughters of the late James and Mary Deane Armstrong. Anne grew up in Syracuse and was a graduate of Central High School in 1944. She retired as an administrative assistant with G.M.A.C. in Syracuse where she worked for over 40 years. Anne enjoyed her cats and spending time in her garden. A devout catholic, Anne was a communicant of St. James Church in Cazenovia.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Marjorie Warner, Margaret Deane and Mary Shimp.
Anne is survived by her sister, Rita Costello of Cazenovia; her best friend, Barbara Ruskas of Liverpool as well as several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at St. James Church, 6 Green St., Cazenovia. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse. If you are planning to attend Anne’s mass, you are required to pre-register with the church at 315-655-3441. Covid precautions will be in effect.
