Esther M. Hyatt, 96, of Cazenovia, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville with her son, Frank, by her side. Born and raised in the DeRuyter Lake area, Esther was a resident of Cazenovia since 1945.
She was a licensed practical nurse at the former Gerritt-Smith Infirmary in Eaton, retiring in 1989 and was also employed as a clerk at the former Cazenovia Pharmacy. She was also a past tax collector for the town of Fenner.
Esther was a member of the Cazenovia Baptist Church. She was a former 4H leader in the Town of Fenner and was active with Caz Cares.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl Hyatt. Surviving is her sons, Hobbie of Plattsburg, Frank (Terri) of Fenner and James (Laurie) of South Carolina, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thanks the staff at Crouse Community Center for the wonderful care Esther received. Private graveside services will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia.
