Sharon L. (Cunningham) Light, 75, of New Woodstock, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. She was born in Syracuse to Gilbert and Alnora Cunningham and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School in 1962. Sharon was employed as a waitress at Lake Meadows, Brown’s, The Owahgena Manor and spent the last 36 years of her career at The Brae Loch Inn where she formed life-long relationships with her customers. Sharon enjoyed tending to her lawn, going to the casino, shopping and traveling to Las Vegas, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alfred J. Light; three children, Jeffrey (Terry) Light of New Woodstock, Joseph (Amy) Light of New Woodstock and Katrina (Adam) Pushlar of Cazenovia; her brother, Wayne (Cheryl) Cunningham of Clay; her sister, Deborah (Gordon) Randall of Cazenovia; her grandchildren, Kayle, Nicholas, Taylor, Cassidy, Chloe, Carlee, Cooper and Kinley and by her great grandson, Mason. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, John Cunningham.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday, June 24, at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. Services are private. Contributions may be made to CAVAC, P.O.
