John F. Larkin, 78, of Cazenovia, passed away Friday morning, March 24, 2017, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. He was born in Oneida, son to the late John and Juanita Larkin and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School in 1956. After high school, John enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver and member of the Teamster’s Local 317, Syracuse until his retirement. John enjoyed country music, was passionate about trucks and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Larry Larkin.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis (Brown) Larkin of Cazenovia; three daughters, Christina (Steven) Ravenhall of East Quogue, N.Y., Susan (Alden) Gafner of Central Square and Colleen (Jason) Grabosky of Cazenovia; a brother, Michael (Sharon) Larkin of Fenner; a step-brother, Chase Davis of Fenner; six grandchildren, Bradley, Peter, Matthew, David, Ryan and Erin; and one great-grandchild, Teagan as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday, March 27, at St. James Church, 6 Green St., Cazenovia. Burial will be at a later date in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours were from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia.
