Deborah Wright Taube, 58, of Cazenovia, passed away peacefully Friday evening, March 24, 2017. She was born in Hornell, N.Y., and graduated in 1977 from Beaver River Central School in Beaver Falls, N.Y. Debbie graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in French and economics. While at St. Lawrence, she spent her sophomore year in Rouen, France. Debbie earned her master’s degree in education from Syracuse University in 1992. She was a French teacher at Groton and McGraw schools before accepting a position at Cazenovia Middle School, where she taught for 14 years. While an educator in Cazenovia, Debbie organized and supervised student trips for the French Club to Montreal and Paris. She was a member of Eastern Hills Bible Church and was active with various women’s bible study groups. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family at her parent’s camp in Effley Falls, N.Y. She was a member of the Cazenovia Community Band, where she played the clarinet.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terry Taube of Cazenovia; three sons, Matthew (Lindsey) Taube and their son, Miles of New Hartford, David Taube of Pittsburgh and Robert (Anna) Taube and their children, Julia and Charles of Cazenovia; her parents, James and Diane Wright of Canandaigua; a brother, Jim Wright of Rochester.
Memorial service:11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at Eastern Hills Bible Church, 8277 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. A reception at the church follows the service.
