George Pfaff, 62, of New Woodstock, died April 21, 2016, at his home. He was born in Newark, NJ, the son of George R. and Eleanor (Smith) Pfaff. He worked as a property contractor and was a volunteer fireman for the New Woodstock Fire Department for 15 years. George had a love for music, gardening, fishing and being at his family’s summer camp in Star Lake, N.Y. Most of all, being a devoted husband and father, he also loved spending time with his family, great circle of friends and neighbors.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia; daughter, Ashley Pfaff (Brandon); three brother’s, Richard (Mia), Gary, and Scott (Debbie) Pfaff; sister, Patty O’Niel (John); mother-in-law, Geraldine Smith; sisters-in-law, Debbie (John) Coll, Gerrie Smith; brother-in-law, Phillip Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, George and Eleanor Pfaff and father-in-law, Andrew F. Smith.
Memorial service: 5 p.m., Friday, April 29, at the Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Calling hours: 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
