Vote for Chris Strong
To the editor:
I write to urge my fellow residents in the village of North Syracuse to support Village Trustee Chris Strong for re-election on June 15.
Trustee Strong has done an excellent job of representing the residents of our village during his first term with his active participation in board meetings and proceedings. He takes his work as a public servant very seriously, adding service as a village trustee to his 20-plus years as a volunteer firefighter.
Even more importantly in my eyes, he feels strongly about keeping our residents informed of important issues that are under consideration and encouraging his fellow residents to also be active participants in our local government. Chris has effectively used social media to engage with residents by being readily available on multiple platforms and welcoming questions, concerns, and discussions about things in our village, positive and negative.
He has also worked hard throughout the pandemic to help facilitate making board meetings accessible by supporting the Facebook live video streams (monitoring comments and chat) when in person meetings were not an option.
Chris isn’t afraid to speak up, ask questions, and consider different points of view and alternate ways to approach things — all with the goal of insuring that our village is getting the best, most cost-effective services and that all of our residents are being best served.
Our village is a wonderful place to live and raise a family — Trustee Strong is ready to continue the work to keep it so, and to continue to make improvements for every resident and visitor.
Please come out and vote, and support candidates like Chris Strong who will continue the important work of strengthening and supporting our village and its residents.

Vote Gustafson for trustee
To the editor:
As former trustee, mayor, and 40-plus-year taxpayer of the village, I would like to encourage residents to vote on June 15 from 12 to 9 at the Community Center for Pat Gustafson as trustee of the village of North Syracuse.
Pat has been a resident of the village for 43 years and has been a trustee for six years. She is trustworthy and works for the good of the residents. She will continue to represent you as taxpayers.

Atkinsons endorse Gustafson for trustee
To the editor:
We are writing this letter to offer our endorsement of Pat Gustafason for trustee for the village of North Syracuse.
Pat has served in this capacity for several years and I (Mark), as a former mayor, had the pleasure of working with her. I found Pat to be always approachable, helpful, honest and cares about her village. She is always willing to take on a new project, talk with any resident about any concerns and get the right thing done for the people of North Syracuse. Her motivation for being a trustee is not personal, but for the people and making North Syracuse the best it can be. That in itself is a wonderful quality. Having been a trustee, she is familiar with the workings of North Syracuse, and that is a great asset as well, as there is no learning curve.
We both have worked with Pat on village committees and events, and always find her knowledgeable and willing to do whatever is needed to get the job done. We both highly recommend the residents elect her for trustee. She will continue to be a great asset to the people of North Syracuse.
