LIVERPOOL — Three village residents seeking improvements to their properties appeared before the Village of Liverpool Planning Board at its monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 22, at the village hall on Sycamore Street.
The planning board conducted a public hearing on the application of Scott Schneider for a sub-division of the lot at 316 Alder St., for the purpose of building a single-family home there.
Another public hearing was conducted regarding an application by Alison and Dave Flood for a special-use permit to construct a 12×20-foot, free-standing garage at 604 First St.
A third public hearing was conducted regarding an application by Devin Heidt for a special-use permit for construction of a 20×24-foot garage at 109 Hazel St.
Planning Board Chairman Joe Ostuni Jr. said that public hearing will continue at the next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, March 22, at the village hall.
The five-member planning board also conducted a public hearing on the application of businessman John Gormel for a site-plan review to install a retractable awning over the patio area at The Retreat, a full-service restaurant at 302 Vine St.
No one spoke about the awning installation, but the board members unanimously approved it by voice vote after a motion was made by Jim Rosier and seconded by Sam Reppi.
Also attending the Feb. 22 meeting were board members Bob Bradt and Dennis Hebert and Deputy Village Clerk Sandra Callahan.
