Madison County Historical Society will host its 55th Annual Madison County Craft Festival on Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the historical society’s grounds at 435 Main Street in Oneida.
$5 adult admission. $8 weekend passes offered. Children 12 and under are free.
Crafters will be demonstrating their artistry twice each day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
We have a wide selection of contemporary arts and crafts, ranging from functional to decorative works including fabric, glass, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, metal, glass, floral, drawings, paintings, jewelry photography, soap, skin care products, leather, and wood.
This an outdoor craft show, featuring artisans, artisans of edible treats, food trucks, food vendors, live music, and Wine and Spirits Tastings all weekend.
The Wine and Spirits Tasting is for 21+ with Valid ID. The Wine and Spirits Tasting entry fee is $10 and includes wine, cider, and distilled spirits samples. We are excited to have Ashley Lynn Winery, Lakeland Winery, Hummingbird Hills Winery, Old Home Distillers, Pail Shop Vineyards, Thousand Islands Winery, Venditti Vineyards, and Victorianbourg Wine Estate joining the event.
There will be live music all weekend. Performing on Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. is Rewind. Followed by Southern Heat performing on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Performing on Sunday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. is Opus Black Strings. Followed by Tequila Sunrise performing on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Join us under our kid activity tent on the side yard for our scheduled kid activities. Girl Scout Unit 230 will be offering a variety of kid’s activities, including face painting. Imagination Station with Maya Phillips will be joining the festival with her free interactive activities for kids. There will also be old hometown games set-up for all to play.
There will also be free house tours of Cottage Lawn offered. Joining us throughout the weekend is Little Bitty Farm Petting Zoo.
We are very excited to announce a special raffle of a sofa table that has been created and donated by New York State Designer Blacksmiths. The drawing of the dragon fireplace tool set will be on Sept. 8. Tickets available now and during the show are $2 each or three for $5. New York State Designer Blacksmiths will be on grounds by the agricultural barn demonstrating the art of blacksmithing all weekend.
There will be plenty of food trucks and food vendors at Madison County Craft Festival from: Gypsy Girl Wood Fired Pizza and Catering of Sherrill; Dough Boys BBQ of Rome; Bueno Taco of Hamilton; Oscar’s Steak and Crab of Bouckville; Kurbside Kafe of Marietta; Happy Eating Grounds of Nedrow; Promotions Plus Roasted Nuts of Saratoga Springs; SkyTop Coffee of Manlius; Milliman’s Fudge of Canastota; Sweets by Steph of Erieville; Gloria’s Ice Cream; Zimmer’s Bakes of Syracuse.
Enjoy a fun family weekend shopping, eating delicious food from the food trucks, enjoying Wine and Spirits Tastings, touring the historical society, listening to live music, watching crafters demonstrate their artistry, and partaking in the children’s activities from games and crafts.
The Craft Festival is one of the Madison County Historical Society’s major fundraisers. Proceeds from the event support the educational programs offered.
