To the editor:
As a village resident and former mayor of the village of Liverpool, I would like to comment on the upcoming election.
This Election Day is different than most that we village residents remember. On Tuesday, June 21, we will be voting on important issues that could make significant changes to our village.
We will be voting on a referendum to abolish the village court. A “no” vote on this is required to maintain the village court. I would strongly recommend that we do that.
We will also be voting for two trustees. The only incumbent up for reelection is Jim Rosier. Jim brought to the board of trustees an excellent background in business as well as municipal experience. He has been a positive presence on the board and always strived to represent the residents of the village.
Jim and I spent several years together on the board, and I can attest to his loyalty and devotion to the village of Liverpool. I would strongly urge the residents to return Jim Rosier to the Liverpool Board of Trustees to continue the outstanding job he has done there.
Both my husband Ace and I hope you will join us in reelecting Jim Rosier.
