Wampsville — The absentee ballots for the Fenner and Nelson elections have been counted, and the unofficial results, according to the board of elections, show that in Fenner incumbent William Wester (Republican) retained his 12-vote lead over Carl Snow (Fenner Neighbor) and has been reelected to the town board, while in Nelson, challenger Tammy Hayes (Democrat) has overtaken incumbent John LaGorga (Democrat) and apparently won the election by three votes.
The official vote tallies will be released online by the Madison County Board of Election on Thursday, Nov. 12. The Cazenovia Republican will update our story with the final numbers as soon as they are released.
