The Endorsed Van Buren Republicans committee and the Van Buren Republican Women’s Club have released their periodic campaign finance reports for July 2015.
For July 2015, the Endorsed Van Buren Republicans committee lists only miscellaneous expenditures and no donations.
The committee donated $144.72 worth of flowers for the funerals of former Van Buren supervisor Liz McCarthy-Bowers and former Van Buren highway superintendent Harold Johnson.
Other expenditures include:
- $60 to rent a pavilion in Van Buren Park for a fundraiser
- $298 for insurance
- $250 contribution to the Independence Party of NY, care of Tom Dadey
- $100 to sponsor a tee sign at the Onondaga County Conservative Party golf tournament in July
The Van Buren Republican Women’s Club received a $38.97 donation for a dinner theater event and collected $120 in dues.
The club also reported 57 cents in interest at Seneca Savings.
The Town of Van Buren Democratic Committee is listed as inactive on the state board of elections campaign finance website. The site says the committee’s filer ID was terminated May 6, 2015.
Brian May reports steady contributions
Citizens for Brian May, the fundraising committee for County Legislator Brian May (R-Lysander, First District), reported $2,721 in donations and $1,245.12 in expenditures for the July 2015 periodic report.
May’s campaign received various individual donations ranging from $25 to $250. His top corporate donations included a $300 contribution from May’s Fleet Sales and Service, $200 from Comfort Windows and $150 from C&S Companies.
The committees Gene Conway for Sheriff and Friends of Will Barclay donated $100 and $99 to May’s campaign, respectively.
As for expenditures, Citizens for Brian May donated $100 to Baldwinsville Baseball Boosters. May’s campaign contributed $60 to the DeWitt Conservative Party and $250 to the Onondaga County Republican Committee housekeeping account.
Fundraising expenses included $85.14 to Kinney Drugs in Baldwinsville, $720 to Sal’s Pizzeria in Baldwinsville and $29.98 to BJ’s Wholesale in Clay.
