On Aug. 1, Collin B. Toscano, 19, of 8308 Zenith Drive, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and speed-in-zone. A 16-year-old male from Syracuse was also arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. The arrests resulted when police detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle after a traffic stop on East Genesee Street for speeding. A search of the vehicle also found pills determined to be controlled substances. They were both released on appearance tickets to appear in court on Sep. 12.
On Aug. 3, Rhamel J. Parker, 29, of 212 West Third St., Fulton, was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree attempted assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment after an investigation into a domestic dispute where the victim was kept from exiting the vehicle while being choked multiple times. He was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Aug. 8.
On Aug. 13, William R. Lamson, 50, of 24 Charlotte St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and operating out of interlock device restrictions after an investigation into a traffic stop on Canton Street. Computer checks revealed his license was revoked. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sep. 12.
On Aug. 15, Megan E. Douglas, 28, of 1053 Sterling Station Road, Sterling, was arrested and charged with petit larceny after an investigation into stolen merchandise from Kinney Drugs at 21 East Genesee St. on Aug. 4. She turned herself in and was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Sep. 12.
On Aug. 18, Scott D. Hinman, 48, of 8723 Drumlin Heights, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed driver and inadequate exhaust after a traffic stop on West Oneida Street for driving with a loud exhaust. On Aug. 20, just two days later, he was arrested again (on the same street) for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed driver. Computer checks revealed his non-driver ID was revoked and suspended 16 times, nine times on four different dates. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sep. 26.
On Aug. 24, David L. Beckley, 20, of 7790 Barbara Lane, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an investigation into a traffic stop on Mechanic Street where he was the front seat passenger. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Sep. 26.
On Aug. 25, Anthony J. Lamacchia, 26, of 932 West Genesee St., Syracuse, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .18 percent, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, breath test refusal and disobeying a traffic control device. The arrest resulted when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on East Genesee Street for disregarding a traffic sign and making an illegal left turn into the parking lot of Byrne Dairy at 83 East Genesee St. Computer checks revealed his license was suspended. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Oct. 10.
On Aug. 28, Brae M. Berardi, 22, of 49 Tappan St., Apartment 2, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and second-degree harassment after an investigation into a physical domestic incident where the under 21-year-old victim was provided alcohol, slapped in the face and her iPhone broken. He was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Sep. 12.
