Police say a 26-year-old East Syracuse woman has been arrested after an incident where she assaulted and injured two victims with a piece of glass.
The DeWitt Police Department reports Mirsada Omerovic has been arrested following an incident that occurred on April 10 on W. Yates Street in East Syracuse. On that day, officers say Omerovic became engaged with a dispute with a 31-year-old male subject, which led to her pick up a piece of broken glass and cutting the male on the arm. The male victim then ran outside, when Omerovic followed him and confronted an otherwise uninvolved 35-year-old female and stabbed her in the chest with the piece of glass. Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries, officers say.
Police located Omerovic on the scene and arrested her. She was charged with assault in the second degree, menacing in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. She was arraigned in the Town of Onondaga Court and is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center on $5,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
