State Police in Oneida have arrested Clayton J. Eckerlin, 22, from Weber Drive in Chittenango, for rape in the first degree, a class B felony.
According to police, Eckerlin is accused of forcing a 17 year-old female to sexual intercourse against her will after she was invited to his residence on July 24. The female victim stated she met Eckerlin on July 24 after she accepted a friend request on Facebook.
Eckerlin was arraigned in the Village of Cazenovia Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail on $10,000 cash bail/ $20,000 bond.
