Offering the ability for employees to work remotely, or work from home, is no longer just a benefit companies can offer. It could become necessary. Local business owner and Rotarian Ken Schmidt, owner of Steel In The Air, Inc., has run his national consulting firm virtually for over a decade. He will be leading a free workshop to share with fellow business leaders the tools and management strategy he uses for successfully leading from afar. The workshop is sponsored by Baldwinsville Rotary and completely free to attend.
The Working Remotely 101 workshop will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the Heart, Home and Community room located at 12 Oswego St. in Baldwinsville. Parking is in Baldwin Canal Square on Denio Street and light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited so attendees are asked to sign up on the Facebook event or email the Rotary Club at [email protected]. You can find the Facebook event on the Baldwinsville Rotary Facebook page to sign up and share with your network.
The Baldwinsville Rotary Club is a community service organization that has been giving back to our community for more than 45 years. Members are expected to exhibit the highest ethical standards in how they conduct business and enjoy using their professional skills to give back to their community. The club is also very social, having fun while working together for the greater good. Guests are always welcome to come to a meeting and learn more. The club meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. or Wednesdays at noon at The Wood (the old Ironwood Golf Course). Be sure to check the schedule at BaldwinsvilleRotary.org in case there is something special going on.
