Local Allstate agency owners from Baldwinsville recently came together to secure $5,000 from The Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community grant program to support Maureen’s Hope’s mission to offer practical support and assistance to people facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis or other life altering disease.
Baldwinsville agent Steven Hunsberger, along with other Allstate agents and volunteers, including agency owner Andrew Sikora, made more than 75 Easter baskets and delivered them to Golisano Children’s Hospital.
“As small business owners and community leaders, Allstate agency owners and financial specialists see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the communities they serve,” said Allstate Regional Sales Leader Ankur Chaturvedi. “Giving back is the core of the Allstate Foundation; we believe that helping others is how we strengthen communities and improve lives.”
Maureen’s Hope is one of thousands of organizations this year to receive Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community grants secured by agency owners and financial specialists on behalf of the nonprofits where they volunteer. The grants support organizations addressing domestic violence, youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, hunger and other causes.
