Q: What problem does your business solve?
A: Supplying Baldwinsville and Central New York with craft beer produced locally with local ingredients from area farms. Providing unique and ever-changing styles of craft beer for our customers.
Q: Why does your product or service stand out?
A: What is unique about our business is that we always strive to source ingredients that are as close to home as possible. A large majority of our ingredients come from Upstate New York, and then we produce everything here in Baldwinsville. Being a New York State Farm Brewery, we pride ourselves on forging relationships with area farms to produce a unique craft beer for our customers.
Q: Why did you choose to locate your business in B’ville?
A: Baldwinsville is home, and even if it wasn’t, it is just a great community for a small business. The village has plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance, plus the river is just a beautiful place to be around. Location is everything for our business, and Baldwinsville fits the bill perfectly for us.
Q: What is your favorite part about the B’ville community?
A: The Baldwinsville community is fantastically supportive of what we are trying to do and their commitment to us is one of the best parts of doing business here. Many of the people that visit us are far more than customers, they have become friends. We like to think that we are growing not just a customer base but an extended WT Brews family within the community of Baldwinsville.
Q: What do you see for your business in the next five years?
A: Expansion, expansion and more expansion. We have been very fortunate that we have a good problem: it’s been very difficult keeping up with the demand. An expansion of the size of the brewery is in the works plus an increase in event offerings at our tasting room.
Q: What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
A: Nothing gives us more satisfaction than when we get a compliment on the quality of our beer. It’s those moments that make all the hard work and effort worthwhile.
Q: If you were to tell one person “thank you” for helping you become the person you are today or your business become what it is today, who would it be and what did they do?
A: It wouldn’t be fair to try to single out one person that has helped make this business what it is today. It has been from the very beginning a constant team effort that has made everything possible. So the thank you would have to go to the WT Brews Crew because this place wouldn’t exist without their collective efforts.
Q: What super power would you like to have?
A: The one super power that we constantly dream of would be the ability to speed up the process of making beer, or even more importantly, the ability to clean up the mess afterwards faster. Now that would definitely be a huge help.
