Cazenovia Community Fitness (CCF) opened its doors on Sept. 1, 2016 offering fitness classes and personal training services. The CCF schedule grew quickly, mainly due feedback from the community. Beginner Yoga, Youth Conditioning Classes for middle and high school athletes, Cycle classes, and BODYSHRED have all been added.
After seven months they are expanding their space, in collaboration with 20 East, to add an additional studio for more fitness activities. The new studio will be added to allow for more personal training, a new yoga area and more fitness activities.
Owners Meghan Kelly and Marla Velky-Reger are excited about the expansion and looking forward to adding additional classes and fitness events for the community. “Collaboration with the community is very important to us,” said Kelly. “We have offered everything from ballroom dance, fitness trainings, Candlelight Yoga and Dinner, and guest speakers sharing important health information. We are also looking forward to teaching an upcoming PiYo class at Empire Brewery.”
The new space is expected to open in early May. CCF will be hosting an open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, in coordination with the first night market of the season at 20 East. There will be live music, food and vendors.
“We are grateful to our community and fitness family. We hope to continue to share our love of health and fitness with others,” said Velky-Reger. “We have established a scholarship this year for a graduating Cazenovia High School Senior who is planning to work in exercise science or a health-related field. Helping others reach their goals keeps us motivated.”
Currently, CCF offers over 30 classes a week for all fitness levels.
