Fayetteville-Manlius senior Audrey Putelo has earned the 2016 Patricia Infantine Scholarship, worth $500.
The scholarship, now in its third year, is awarded to an exceptional student living or attending school in the F-M district, with special consideration given to students who have volunteered or been employed at Manlius Library. The scholarship is named for Pat Infantine, Manlius Library director from 1989 to 2013. Manlius Library Board of Trustees President Karen Steinberg presented the award May 26.
Putelo impressed the scholarship committee with her distinguished grade point average and wide-ranging extracurricular activities. In addition to participating in Girls Varsity Golf, Community Connections Club and the National Honors Society, she has held part-time jobs and volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Christ Church, and F-M High School. She has volunteered at Manlius Library for years, from the Bookmark Café to Summer Reading Program activities.
Putelo will attend the University of Michigan in the fall to major in chemistry.
