Exciting things are happening in our community. For more than three decades, gift-filled shoeboxes have been delivered to millions of needy children around the world. Shoebox gifts, packed with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items, bring joy and hope to boys and girls who may have never received a gift of their own.
Samaritan’s Purse has been in the news because of their hurricane disaster response in NC and FL. Operation Christmas Child is another project of Samaritan’s Purse and more information about this program can be found at Operation Christmas Child. In 2024, Operation Christmas Child hopes to collect enough shoeboxes to reach another 12 million children.
Drop-off locations and hours for Operation Christmas Child are now available for National Collection Week, Nov 18-25. Residents can find local drop-off locations and hours nearest them so they can demonstrate God’s love to a child in need by packing a simple shoebox gift. You are invited to come to our Liverpool location during the open hours Nov 18-25. It is a busy place and boxes will be placed into cartons and loaded into a trailer bound for a processing center in Baltimore, MD. The team will also be packing shoeboxes during the opening hours.
