Major General Ray Shields, the adjutant general for the state of New York, announces the recent promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
Francis Wiggin from Marcellus and assigned to the Company D, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, received a promotion Aug. 28 to the rank of 1st lieutenant.
Keith Walker from Camillus and assigned to the wing’s 174th Operations Group received a promotion June 21 to the rank of colonel.
Air National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
