INSIDE—Sensory Play: Baking | Friday, February 4th at 10:30 AM: Join us on the first Friday of
every month for a special program for toddlers. Each child will receive a bin filled with a variety
of different textures to sort through and practice matching colors, letters, or concepts. Please

ONLINE—Library Board Meeting | Tuesday, February 8th at 6:30 PM: The Library Board is made up
of community members who volunteer their time and skills to further the mission of the library. All
meetings are open, and the public is welcome to attend.
INSIDE—Craft Extravaganza | Saturday, February 12th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Drop-in for a fun
afternoon of crafting. We’ll have several stations set up in Library Hall for you to create awesome
(and easy) winter and Valentine’s Day themed crafts. Make a gift to give or something for

Harriet Tubman, known as the “Moses of her people”, is a famed abolitionist, Civil War spy,
suffragist, and humanitarian. Join Kimberly Szewczyk of the Harriet Tubman National Historical
Park in Auburn, NY as she shares what we actually know about Harriet Tubman versus the myth

ONLINE—History of Hot Chocolate | Monday, February 28th at 6:30 PM: Who doesn’t love a cup
of hot chocolate on a cold winter day? Join Maya Rook of Illusory Time to explore the origins of
hot chocolate and have a chance to make a cup yourself! In this online session, you will learn
not only how to make hot chocolate at home but also where this beverage came from and how
it has evolved over time. Participants will be able to pick up their hot chocolate-making supplies

INSIDE—Books, Balls, and Blocks: Early Literacy Tips for Families | Tuesday, February 22nd at 10:30
AM: The pandemic is affecting children during a critical time and having a direct impact on their
social emotional development. Adults and kids will explore several different stations with easy
ideas for play at home that help with your child’s early literacy skills and social emotional health.
Free tote bags filled with the activities during the event are available for attendees. This program

ONLINE—Writing Workshop with Ellen Potter| Friday, February 25th at 11:00 AM: This writing
workshop for readers and writers is led by local author Ellen Potter. When inspiration strikes, Ms.
Potter will teach kids how to turn their ideas into stories. Participants will receive a writing prompt
