FAIRMOUNT — The Fairmount Community Library, located at 406 Chapel Drive in Fairmount is now open to the public for express browsing, limited computer use and picking up special orders and take-home kits. Library hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 11 to 5 p.m.
Patrons who use the building can be assured that the library is taking all safety precautions possible. Two HVAC REME HALO air filtration units have been installed to purify the air, and staff are following strict disinfecting and cleaning routines. Patrons who visit the library are required to wear masks at all times and follow our safe socially distancing guidelines.
“We are so happy to see our patrons in the library browsing for books,” said library Director, Brenda Shea. “It’s nice to catch up with them and see how happy they are to be back at the library. We will be open weekend hours beginning in May.”
The Fairmount Community Library’s mission is to connect our community through information sharing, fostering communication and enhancing lifelong learning. FCL launched a brand new website this month, fairmountlibrary.org.
