Habitat for Humanity welcomes new executive director
Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity (CCHH) is proud to announce Tricia Kerr as its new executive director.
She succeeds Julie Lockhart, who held the position for over two years.
Kerr comes to CCHH with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for affordable housing and homeownership.
Her education started at a young age growing up in her family’s mortgage business. She has developed and secured funds for a wide range of housing projects throughout her career working at CAP Community Action Programs, Cayuga County Planning Department, City of Auburn Office of Planning & Economic Development, and Onondaga County Community Development.
Kerr currently serves as a legislator for Cayuga County District 12 and is a member of the Auburn Housing Authority Development Corp. Board of Directors.
She is a native Auburnian, graduate of Cayuga Community College (’96) and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (’99) and has completed graduate coursework at SUNY ESF and Cornell University.
Kerr resides in Auburn with her husband Fred, a retired city firefighter and machine shop owner.
“We would like to sincerely thank Julie for her service with Habitat. She has been instrumental in shaping the future of this organization, we wish her and her family the best on their next chapter and are thrilled that she will stay on as a volunteer with the organization,” said Kip Coerper, of Skaneateles and Habitat board co-president. “On behalf of the board of directors, I would also like to officially welcome Tricia aboard.
