The Haven at Skanda is committed to meeting community needs whenever possible, and during the COVID-19 crisis, Skanda is committed to “No Child Left Alone.”
In response to urgent community need, Skanda has acquired a temporary license from the NYC Office of Children & Family Services to provide emergency weekday childcare for families where parents are essential personnel, and for highly stressed families who need a break.
Kids will receive support for schoolwork in Skanda’s new classroom, and will spend time outdoors in the fresh air learning to take care of Skanda’s loving, gentle rescued and endangered animals. CDC, WHO, and health department biosecurity protocols are being strictly followed.
For more information about how to support this program, or to request childcare, contact the organization at 315-815-5056 or [email protected].
