Updates from the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce
The Skaneateles chamber of commerce had several events planned through the end of March and into April including the Downtown Passport Program, which gives shoppers special offers and the chance to win gift cards to local shops as well as the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Due to the current guidelines as people are social distancing and stores are closing to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, the chamber announced that it has had to make the difficult decision to cancel the East Egg Hunt.
“The hard decision has been made to cancel the Easter Egg Hunt this year,” the chamber said in its weekly newsletter. “This was based on the CDC Guidelines for events. We look forward to seeing all the little ones next year. We appreciate your understanding.”
The chamber also announced the passport program has been adjusted and extended.
According to the chamber newsletter, online purchases from participating retailers apply toward the passport and once businesses are opened again the passport program will run for an additional two weeks before the prize drawings take place.
