Seeking bell ringers for Dickens
The Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce is once again coordinating the Salvation Army Bell Ringers for a few key days during our Dickens Christmas celebration.
Your help is needed to ring the bells this year to raise money for the Salvation Army with 90% of the money raised by you will stay right here in Skaneateles to help those with basic needs.
This money is administered by our Town Outreach Coordinators.
Typically, the funds are used to help needy families with food, utility bills, medical needs, self-help programs and much more.
Please consider volunteering an hour or two of your time. We have two kettles to put out, and each shift is one hour long.
Two people are suggested for each bucket, and we will ring during the Dickens festivities from noon-4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, plus the Friday after Thanksgiving, and on Skaneateles Sings on Dec. 6.
Please participate in this very worthwhile community cause.
For more information please contact Hilary Fenner at the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce at 315-685-0552. Everything you need will be provided, and you will be making a joyful noise this holiday season and letting miracles happen all year long.
Many thank to the Skaneateles Rotarians, who will be ringing and collecting at TOPS in December.
