Rifle: On Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at 0900, five rifle shooters met at our range to fire the regular weekly rifle match. The temperature was 64 and 88% humidity with light overcast skies some sun at times and strong gusty winds. It was 67 with 77% humidity by the end. Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.
No one fired rifles today that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category.
The following fired other rifles with open sights: High Score was Dave Spearing. He fired a .223 cal. Rock River and scored 100-4X’s+99-2X’s+91-1X=290-7X’s. Chuck Chernoff fired a .223 cal. Rock River and scored 90+97-2X’s+74-1X=261-3X’s. Joe Dwyer fired a .22 cal. Rimfire and scored 91-2X’s+91-3X’s+67=249-5X’s.
The following fired other rifles with scopes: High Score was Chuck Cargile. He fired a .17 cal. Rimfire with a scope and scored 97-2X’s+96-2X’s+68=261-4X’s. Gil Holm fired a .22 cal. Rimfire with a scope and scored 100-3X’s+99-4X’s=199-7X’s.
After the match, four went to the excellent Willow Glen Café for beverages. Lynn served drinks and Chuck Cargile paid the tab, every one thanked them both.
CNY Trap League, Shoot-Off, September 8, 2019: Congratulations to Skaneateles, the 2019 CNY Trap league champions !!!
In the Southern Division, Skaneateles’s 391 beats Pompey’s 387 for South Division winner and also defeats Toad Harbor’s 387 for the 2019 CNY Annual Tournament Team Champions.

Len Kallfelz of Skaneateles wins High Gun over Joe Macewicz, Mike Rice (Skan), and Zach Humez.
Class winners from Skaneateles were Mike Rice- AA class, and Rich Bobbett- A class.
Heidi Womer of Skaneateles is the first lady in League history to claim the league’s High Average award for 2019! We are also extremely proud to have Heidi on our team as she also won
the 2019 title of NYS ATA Singles Champion! Congratulations Heidi! Patty Logan who also had a great year won Lady high average for the South Division. Lenny Kallfelz won men’s high average for the South. Frank Bozeat won high average Veteran in the South Division.
South 5-man Team, Heidi Womer (Skan) .9789, Len Kalfelz (Skan) .9740, Tim Corrente .9711, Rick Kenyon .9663, Matt Carr .9600, beat the North 5-man Team for 2019.
Long runs from Skaneateles for 2019 were Patty Logan with 125 straight, followed by Heidi Womer, Len Kalfelz, Jim Dries, and Michael Rice with 100 straight.

The temperature was 61 and 92% humidity with gray overcast skies threatening rain and no wind. It was 65 with 88% humidity by the end. Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.
The following fired rifles that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category: High Score was Chuck Chernoff. He had a CMP bronze medal score. He fired a .30 cal. US M1903-A3 and scored 93-1X+93-1X+83=269-2X’s. Joe Dwyer fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 85+84-2X’s+72-1X=241-3X’s. John Bay fired a .30 cal. US M1903-A3 and scored 91+86+56=233. Mark Walker fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 79+81+55=215. Mike Gentile fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 63+58+45=166.

The temperature was 61 and 88% humidity with clear sunny skies and a light breeze. It was 67 with 68% humidity and partly cloudy by the end. Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.
The following fired rifles that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category: High Score was Dave Spearing. He had a CMP silver medal score. He fired a .308 cal. M1A and scored 92-1X+96-3X’s+90=278-4X’s. Joe Brillo fired an 8X57 K98 Mauser and scored 25+69-1X+65=159. Phil Ricklefs stopped by and fired a .308 cal. M1A one round standing and scored 85.
The following fired other rifles with open sights: High Score was Chuck Chernoff. He fired a .223 cal. and scored 97-3X’s+87+80-1X=264-4X’s. Gil Holm fired a .22 cal. Rimfire just two rounds prone and scored 93-1X+95-2X’s+65=253-3X’s.
