Hockey star Anthony Angello to visit Manlius Library
Former Fayetteville-Manlius hockey standout Anthony Angello will appear for a meet and greet at Manlius Library on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Angello will arrive at 11 a.m. to read Lisa Wheeler’s Dino-Hockey to young fans, as he returns to Manlius Library after attending Story Time with local institution Karen Porcello as a young boy. All ages are invited to attend.
The Cornell University product recently completed his first full professional season with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, tallying 16 goals and 13 assists in 65 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins’ top affiliate. Angello will compete next month in training camp for a spot on Pittsburgh’s roster alongside franchise icons Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
Angello’s appearance is the penultimate event of Manlius Library’s 2019 Summer Reading program, which concludes with a Space Party and showing of Disney Pixar’s Wall-E on Thursday, August 22.
