The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Town of Onondaga convenience store Thursday afternoon.
On Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:31 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported robbery at the Byrne Dairy convenience store located at 4815 West Seneca Turnpike. Deputies investigating the robbery say a white male entered the store and demanded money from the store clerk while holding an unknown object under his sweatshirt. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot behind the store. No injuries were reported.
Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division continue to investigate the robbery and are releasing the surveillance photos to the public, hoping that someone will recognize him and come forward with his identity. Detectives would also like to speak with anyone who was in the store around the time of the incident or who may have seen the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male believed to be in his 30’s, approximately 5’ 10” tall, weighing approximately 155 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a light grey colored sweatshirt and dark colored sneakers.
