With Tuesday’s record breaking nor’easter bringing in multiple inches of snow to parts of New York State, film crews from the Today Show decided to make a stop in Cazenovia for a news story.
“And in Cazenovia, it’s like a winter wonderland,” Al Roker of the Today Show said in a segment on the morning of Dec 11.
Dylan Dreyer stood on Albany Street where she told Roker, “I feel like I walked into a Christmas card here in Cazenovia, New York. Crews have been out all night plowing the streets as Tuesday’s nor’easter sits and spins in New England.”
The storm is responsible for producing one to two feet of snow in parts of New York and New England, said Dreyer.
“And yesterday, roads were downright treacherous,” said Dryer. “It prompted parts of I-81 south of Syracuse near Tully New York to be shut down due to accidents and dangerous road conditions. And overnight, tractor trailers were banned from the New York State thruway because of those conditions. That ban has since been lifted.”
This storm will continue to move in bands until it exits, which Dreyer said could take several hours.
