The annual Fenner “Clean Up Days” have been scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, the town board announced at its April 10 regular monthly meeting. This year four dumpsters will be available at the Fenner Town Garage on Nelson Road.
Fenner residents only will be limited to one pick-up truckload of trash and four tires off the rims. No household garbage, refrigerators, freezers, TVs, computers, propane tanks, air conditioners or ag plastic will be accepted. All ag plastic will be accepted directly at the transfer station or landfill.
Also announced at the meeting was that the Fenner Renewable Energy Education Center (FREE) Center will hold a spring pie festival fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the center located at 3151 Fenner East Road, Cazenovia.
The festival, which will include free tours of the Fenner wind farm, will offer displays of many types of renewable energy and hands on activities as well as an auction of pies and other local items by Congressman Bill Magee. Tickets are $10 adult, $5 children under 14, $25 family. Entrance comes with a slice of pie or cookie and beverage.

Also at the meeting, the board appointed Paula Douglas to be an additional part-time a new deputy town clerk and approved the purchase of a new pickup truck for the Town Highway Department at a cost of $24,448.
