Liverpool Mayor Gary White and two trustees, Bob Gaetano and Dennis Hebert, were returned to office in the June 18 village election, at the Village Hall on Sycamore Street.
The three incumbent Republicans all ran without opposition.
White won his third term as mayor by drawing 62 votes. Gaetano drew 63 and Hebert 57 votes to each win their third term in office. More than 1,500 registered voters reside in the mile-square village.
In the 2009 village election, White, won his initial race for mayor over independent candidate Tom Stack by a vote of 291 to 154.
The mayor’s annual salary is $8,000, and trustees earn $4,000 a year.
White was a six-term village trustee and a former deputy chief of the Syracuse Police Department and is now self-employed in the automotive industry.
Gaetano is the former principal at Liverpool Middle School, and Hebert is a financial planner.
Meanwhile, in North Syracuse, two trustees ran unopposed to regain their seats. Gary Butterfield, owner of Butterfield Construction, and Alfred “Fred” Fergerson, owner of Fergerson Funeral Home and a seventh-generation village resident, gained 86 votes each. There were two write-in candidates for trustee. Butterfield is a Republican while Fergerson is not enrolled in a party.
Village Justice Bob Bertrand, an attorney, also kept his seat with 87 votes. He, too, ran unopposed. There was one write-in candidate for village justice.
There are a total of 4,071 voters within village limits.
Village trustees earn $5,075 a year.
