The Town of Van Buren Highway Department will hold the annual Tire and Metal Drop off day from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, at the highway garage, 7895 W. Dead Creek Road, Baldwinsville.
Passenger car and pick-up tires are only $1.50 with or without rims; maximum of eight per household. Drop off most household electronics such as computers, printers, televisions and microwave. Drop off any empty 20 lb. propane gas tanks. No fence wire please. For more information, call 635-5124.
Agrana Fruit coming to Radisson
During a recent board meeting, Lysander Supervisor John Salisbury welcomed Agrana Fruit US Inc. to Lysander wishing the company well in building its new food processing plant planned for Sixty Road in the Radisson Corporate Park.
Agrana prepares fruit produce for yogurt products. It is anticipated that the new facility will employ up to 120 people once at full operation.
“This is a great boon to jobs and assessed valuations,” Salisbury said.
