The JE Marching Eagles, competing in the Small School 2 Class and performing “David and Goliath,” earned a score of 83.35 to land them at the top of their class for the first time in 14 years. They scored just ahead of Malverne (83.10) and Norwich (83.00).
West Genesee won the title in the National Class for the second straight year and the school’s 32nd state title. They scored a 97.60; the second place school, Norwalk, scored a 95.00.
The schools were among more than 50 bands to compete in the statewide competition. View all the scores here.
