Van Buren officials have approved an expenditure not to exceed $2,000 to cover the costs of printing and postage for a public education mailer regarding the appointed superintendent position, which will be on the ballot in November. This will provide educational material regarding the referendum to the 4,800 households in Van Buren.
“I think education is a good thing, especially coming from the perspective of our board,” said Councilor Tony Saraceni.
