A new business is now open in the village of Minoa.
Pave The Way Day Care is a family-owned and operated day care with an integrated Pre-K program. A ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Minoa Mayor Richard Donovan and Deputy Mayor William Brazill was held on Thursday, Aug. 30, at the business, located at 610 N. Central Ave. in Minoa.
“We had our family and all of the grandparents, which was very special for us that they were all here to share in this big venture for our family,” said co-owner Joanne Wood. “It was such an exciting day for all of us.”
The staff consists of teachers Wood, a devoted mother of four, and her daughters, Jamie Landry and Alison Wood. Jamie is a certified teacher, with her master’s degree in special education and Alison recently graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Donovan expressed his support of new business in the village.
“This country was built on the backs of small business and the Village of Minoa is very pleased to add another small business to our community with the addition of Pave the Way Day Care. Not only is it a small business, it’s a Minoa family owned and operated business that has taken over a partially vacant commercial space and revitalized it. We welcome them and thank them for investing in their own community and while providing a much needed service to the greater Minoa Community.”
