Charis Parker and Samantha Sidorakis were at the forefront of the Baldwinsville girls swim team’s successful 2012 season debut.
By winning two individual events apiece, Parker and Sidorakis pushed the Bees past Mexico, 52-40, Wednesday night at the Baker High School pool.
At first, they worked together, as Kaitlyn Martin and Allie Connor joined Parker and Sidorakis for B’ville’s win in the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:00.13.
Then Parker went to the 200 individual medley, where she gained first place in 2:22 flat. Later in the meet, Parker swam the 100 breaststroke in a top time of 1:11.72.
As for Sidorakis, she rolled to first place in the 100 freestyle before going to the 100 backstroke and earning another victory in 1:06.68. Right at the end, Sidorakis, joined by Martin, Connor and Elena Margrey, gave the Bees a win in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:10.21.
B’ville got two more individual titles from Amanda Johnson and Emma Atkinson, as Johnson beat the field in the 200 freestyle in 2:14.90 before Atkinson swam the 100 butterfly in 1:07.47.
After Saturday’s Auburn Relays, B’ville is off until Sept. 24, when it meets Liverpool two days before another trip to Auburn, this time for a head-to-head meet with the Maroons.
