UPDATE
DeWitt Police have located Emil Darin, 89. He had been admitted to a local hospital after a minor car accident this afternoon.
Police say rapid news attention helped locate Darin.
DeWitt Police are asking locals to be on the lookout for a missing East Syracuse man.
Emil Darin, 89, was last seen leaving his home around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. He was driving his 1995 Pontiac Grand Am with license plate ANR-6445. He has not returned home.
He’s 5-foot-2-inches and about 175 pounds. Police say he has extensive medical problems, and uses a walker to assist him. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue T-shirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with any information regarding Darin’s whereabouts or his vehicle is asked to call 911.
