A special meeting of the village board in Camillus has been scheduled for the fifth Monday of the month, April 30.
The village board had expected to vote Monday on the proposed Sunoco station at the corner of Newport Road and Main Street. However, after a brief executive session, the board decided to hold a special meeting on April 30 to vote on the gas station, convenience store, Subway and car wash complex.
“We needed to have a little more information about things,” said Mayor Patricia Butler. “A couple questions came up in executive session. We need a little more from our engineer.”
One member of the board was also excused from last Monday’s meeting. That would mean the vote would have to be unanimous among present board members Monday. A super-majority vote would be required in order to overturn the county’s decision, which did not recommend the project for completion in the village.
The village board is expected to vote Monday, April 30 at the special meeting. That will be held at 7 p.m. at village hall. The public hearing is still open on the topic. Comments can be addressed to village hall at 672-3484.
