The Solvay-Geddes-Camillus Kiwanis recently presented a check for $650 to Marine Toys for Tots to help purchase Christmas gifts for children in need.
Using 75 box locations and three shopping center locations, Marines collect thousands of toys to be distributed in the tri-county area, said Marine Staff Sergeant Jeremy Guidroz. Money donations allow Marines to purchase extra toys locally to meet the needs of Toys for Tots.
According to John Novado, of S-G-C Kiwanis Club, the club will receive toys from Marine Toys for Tots and deliver them to four pantries, two Head Start and elementary students, Eastern Migrant Farm Workers and five church groups that distribute toys to children in need.
