Cazenovia Jewelry is undergoing some changes. The company’s landmark location on Albany Street in Cazenovia was recently outfitted with new display cases from the Manlius store, a new lighting system will be installed in the coming weeks and the local workforce will grow.
Although a recent decrease in sales and low customer traffic may have caused the Cazenovia Jewelry’s Manlius location to close, owner Susan Machamer is able to find the silver lining.
“We’re getting an updated look here. Lights, and the final touches will be finished soon, but the cases are already here and are very nicely lit,” Machamer said. “By consolidating our Manlius shop, we are able to improve this location. The Fayetteville location is doing very well, but the plaza our store in Manlius was in just didn’t attract enough customers.”
Along with cosmetic additions, the former manager of Cazenovia Jewelry’s Hamilton store, Leah Coe-Howard, will help out on Albany Street starting in October. The metal-smith will assist customers and offer her artistic abilities to the conception and restoration of unique jewelry designs.
Celebrating their 26th year in business, Cazenovia Jewelry continues to offer customers an extensive collection of gold, silver and gemstones, as well as full repair services for jewelry and watches, including battery replacement. While the Fayetteville location offers a wide array of products, the Cazenovia store includes an exclusive giftware lines, including Leed and Barton, Waterford and Machamer’s own collection, Susan Machamer Jewelry Design.
“It’s an exciting part of the year for us. We’re looking forward to the additions, as well as the holiday season,” Machamer said. “We enjoy being a part of both Men’s and Ladies’ Night Out as well as the Christmas Walk in Cazenovia. After the lights arrive and Coe-Howard returns, we’ll be good to go.”
