Improving to 2-0 on the young season, the Baldwinsville girls swim team beat the combined Syracuse city entry 101-76 Wednesday night at Nottingham High School, where the Section III championships are annually held.
Charis Parker and Kaitlyn Martin both had two individual titles. Parker, in short order, took first in the 200 individual medley in 2:26.09 and added a victory in the 500 freestyle in 5:44.32.
Martin struck first in the 200 freestyle, taking that event in 2:08.05. She would later dominate the 500 freestyle, covering that distance in 5:44.32, right before helping Parker, Elena Margrey and Megan Eubank win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:51.19.
Eubank, on her own, was first in the 50 freestyle in 27.69 seconds. Samantha Sidorakis swam the 100 freestyle in 59.09 seconds as Abigail Whiting claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.27.
This sets up a key early-season meet for the Bees on Thursday as it hosts Auburn, who is also off to a 2-0 start and are coming off a 95-75 win over Liverpool, who visits B’ville on Oct. 6.
