Help raise money for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade while getting a head start on your St. Patty’s celebrations!
Tipperary Hill will raise a ruckus Friday Feb. 18 with the “Support the St. Patrick’s Day Parade” fundraiser, from 7 p.m. to midnight at St. Patrick’s School, at the corner of North Lowell and Schuyler Streets.
The event is open to ages 21 and older, and will feature raffles, door prizes and live music by Mere Mortals from 8 to 11 p.m.
Tickets are only $10, but you can continue to make financial contributions to the parade at the beer and wine cash bar. All proceeds from the event will go toward the parade, set for noon on Saturday March 12. The event is sponsored by Tipp Hill pubs and businesses and tickets are available at Blarney Stone, Cashel House, Coleman’s Authentic Irish Pub, McAvan’s, Nibsy’s, Rosie’s Sport Pub & Grill, Steve’s Restaurant, Tipp Hill Cafe and Wheeler’s Restaurant.
The Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee announced in January that the grand marshal for the 2011 parade would be Syracuse Police Capt. Richard Walsh. The committee is also looking for volunteers to serve as marshals for this year’s event.
