The Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual State of the Area Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 11 at the Cazenovia College Dining Hall.
The forum will featuring remarks from Cazenovia Village Mayor Tom Dougherty, Cazenovia Town Supervisor Ralph Monforte, Nelson Town Supervisor Roger Bradstreet, Fenner Town Supervisor Russ Cary, Cazenovia Central School District Superintendent Robert Dubik and Wayne Westervelt representing Cazenovia College.
Assemblyman Bill Magee and State Sen. Dave Valesky are also slated to attend, but both may send emissaries depending on legislative sessions in Albany.
Each participant will make a brief presentation about issues and concerns in their respective areas during the past year and what is on the horizon for 2011. A question and answer period will follow.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Chamber members and the community at large alike to hear about what has transpired in their respective community in the past year, what the economy has been like, what projects were undertaken or are underway, and what challenges were met or are on the horizon,” said Chamber representatives. “It will also give these municipal leaders an opportunity to communicate goals and ambitions for 2010.”
The public is encouraged to attend. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and beverages. There will be a cash bar. The program begins at 6:45 p.m. There is a cost of $15 per person.
Advance reservations are required by Jan. 6. For reservations, call the Chamber office at 655-9243 or e-mail [email protected].
