The Syracuse Parks Conservancy will accept nominations for its annual Guardian Award up until Dec. 1. The SPC Board of Trustees will announce the individual or organization to be honored with the award during the month of December.
The Guardian Award is reserved for an individual or organization that has shown exceptional commitment, vision, leadership and dedication to promoting and preserving the beauty of parks and green spaces.
To nominate a person or organization, complete the application and submit it either in person or by mail to Syracuse Parks Conservancy, 212 Melrose Ave., Syracuse N.Y. 13206.

Former Mayor Matthew J. Driscoll won the award in 2009 for his role in establishing a Memorandum of Understanding between the city of Syracuse and the SPC.
