Camillus Councilor Bill Davern set the next public safety meeting for 7 p.m. June 16 at the Camillus Municipal Building, and that plans for a fire training tower would be discussed.
The design for the tower was completed a year ago, Davern said, but no decisions have been made regarding funding. “We have to make sure the interest is still there… then we’ll figure out where to get the money,” Davern said.
The meeting is open to the public. Representatives from the five fire departments, Camillus police, WAVES, and village and town officials have been invited to participate in the meeting.
The next Camillus Town Board meeting was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday June 22; legal notices are available at townofcamillus.com.
